Spring Carnival Tipping Competition 2026

Get set for four big race days with the Spring Carnival Tipping Competition at Club Old Bar and Club West! Pick one horse in each race across the four meetings and see how your selections stack up.

Race days

• Caulfield Cup — Saturday 17 October

• Cox Plate — Saturday 24 October

• Victoria Derby Day — Saturday 31 October

• Melbourne Cup — Tuesday 3 November

How it works

Earn 3 points for a first-place finish, 2 points for second and 1 point for third. All other results receive 0 points. The tipster with the highest total at the end of the competition wins!

The prize pool will be split:

• 1st place: 70%

• 2nd place: 20%

• 3rd place: 10%

Entry is $20 per person. Sign up at the bar at Club Old Bar or Club West.

If your selected horse is scratched before the race, the TAB race-declared substitute will automatically become your selection.
